Hope this e-mail finds you well! Last time you said you were learning Chinese but encountered some difficulties. It's inevitable because English emphasizes the structure, while Chinese focuses on the meaning. With regard to the matter you mentioned in your letter, my suggestions are as follows.

Firstly, I would recommend you to find a native speaker as a language partner, and meet with him on a regular basis.Besides, watching Chinese movies and listening to Chinese songs can make the learning process much more interesting.
